Successful Supply of Coated Steel Pipes for Qatar Telegraph Pole Project

We are proud to announce the successful completion and delivery of ERW steel pipes for the prestigious Qatar Coated Telegraph Pole Project. This high-profile government project required ERW welded steel pipes of API 5L Grade X65, with dimensions of 219 mm outer diameter, 8.2 mm wall thickness, and a length of 11,000 mm. The pipes were designed with precision punching holes and subjected to a stringent double-layer coating process: galvanized with a minimum thickness of 95 μm, followed by an additional 350 μm bituminous coating on both internal and external surfaces. The combination of high-quality material and complex coating ensured durability, corrosion resistance, and long-term reliability in Qatar’s demanding climatic and operational conditions.
The project’s coating requirements posed a significant challenge, demanding precision at every step of the production process. As a government project, it involved strict quality inspections, with client personnel conducting on-site verification throughout the manufacturing process. Our technical and production teams worked closely to ensure all pipes met the required specifications, from material quality to coating thickness, surface smoothness, and punching precision. The careful attention to detail ensured that every single pipe adhered to both API 5L standards and the additional project-specific requirements.
A total of 2,072 pipes, weighing 987 tons, were successfully manufactured and delivered on schedule, demonstrating our capability to handle large-scale and technically demanding projects. The ERW pipes are intended for use in Qatar’s government power infrastructure in 2024 and have already received positive feedback regarding their quality, durability, and coating effectiveness. By providing a reliable and high-performance product, we have supported the government’s initiative to ensure safe, long-lasting, and efficient power delivery infrastructure.
